Monday’s updates from the globe

by Arnie

Time for me to add a few more bits of news and info to the site and help gradually clean out my inbox here. With over 400 emails to go, I may be here some time though smile

Aaron over at AirsoftRetreat dropped me a line to let me know that they’ve added a review of Mako Security’s QR Folding Grip online. Checkout the full review over on ASR’s pages.

A new website has appeared online too by the name of AirsoftGunHelp.com. Designed to help players with questions that they may have about the subject of Airsoft they plan to send out a newsletter every month for all Airsoft players. Here’s the latest:

AirsoftGunHelp.com is an airsoft website that answers many of the questions new airsoft players are asking — tired of answering newbie questions on the message boards, send them here.

We just launched a monthly Airsoft E-mail Newsletter for all airsoft players, new and old. Each month we write exclusive articles about airsoft. It is filled with free tips, airsoft stories, and more. Plus, we have links to almost every story about airsoft in the mainstream press from the past month.

If you would like to subscribe to the airsoft newsletter please go

Stefano at Bioval also mentioned to me that Tactical Technology’s website is now finished. The website is available in both English and Italian and is designed for the use of both dealers and distributors. To check on prices and availability you’ve got to register to use the website though. The new T&T IDS System, which is the civilian version of the TSVR shot detection vest is now available and on there, you’ll also find BBB (Bioval BBs) listed there too. Bioval now work closely with DED USA to bring their products into the USA, so if you’re on the other side of the pond you might want to look them up.

I’ve had an email from the manager (Michele) at Safara Softair who are a retailer based in San Marino (I get emails from literally everywhere these days). For those not in the know, San Marino is an enclave replic in central Italy and is the third smallest state in the EU. My Italian is a little rusty, but it’s not too hard to navigate around, and will no doubt be of use to anyone in the locale (greets to all in the region btw).

According to the Airsoft Atlanta blog they are planning on opening another retail store in Atlanta and are also looking into some locations in the west coast some time this year (Vegas looks like a possibility).

Classic Army have added a few new products to their lineup on their Chinese pages, but they aren’t hugely interesting comprising of gearbox internals and parts like cylinder nozzles. Actually.. to save folks having to read the Chinese bit, the updates are also on their English pages.

According to First’s pages Tokyo Marui’s new ‘Pro Light; (the SureFire M3 lamp copy) will be out on the 16th of this month at a price of 7,860 Yen. I’d expect to see it appear at UK stockists towards the end of the month.

King Arms have a new vertical grip in tan, black and OD coming soon. There’s no images of the new product out as of yet though and just a mention of the details on their new release pages.

Anyone looking for a good gear supplier in the US may want to checkout Tactical Tailor’s website which contains details of their latest products including a new range bag, gun rug, MAV Bib, and handy MOLLE 45 degree adapter.

Poseidon Shop have been busy working on their robot project (I’m not familiar with the Manga cartoon that it’s from I’m afraid). New to their project is a replacement gun arm for the robot that uses what looks like a cut down electric EBB G18C (with a custom outer rotary barrel unit) as the basis for the rotary gun/hand unit. I can’t see the feed mech for any BBs so I assume that isn’t implimented yet. I really have no idea how much that project is worth now given the amount of hours that someone has now put into it.

For anyone looking to get spare mags for their Star Airsoft UMP or waiting to order one, StarAirsoft Japan have released news of a new 110 round magazine for their UMP project which includes realistic looking rounds visible through a window in the side. In the shot online they look a little yellow, so they might need a touch up with some metal paint if you want them to look more realistic.

Before I forget Shoei have a new website (http://www.shoeiseisakusho.co.jp/), covering their latest products and news (including a full distributor list). Anyone after one of their much loved MP44s will have to be patient as they are only making a total of 300 units between now and August.

Lastly (there’s more to come.. but I’ve got to finish off this news update sometime this week as there’s more email coming in as I type this), ZEKE have a new Walther PPK full metal parts set on the way. I’m pretty sure that the kit is based on the new type Maruzen PPK model, the quality of the parts looks amazing with all the new parts beign made from solid aluminium. They have even copied the real PPK grip showing their grip to the left, and the real thing to the right .

Price for the new PPK kit is 83,790 Yen and from what I can tell it’s supplied as a complete pistol.
