Seems that the Guardian has picked up on the VCR Bill and the reaction to it by everyone that it affects. The article does at least report on the issue and doesn’t put a huge amount of spin on it, even if the ‘antis’ comments are factually largely incorrect.
Relatives of people killed or injured by acts of gun crime clashed with sporting enthusiasts yesterday over the government’s plans to restrict the manufacture and sale of imitation and replica firearms.
Members of the Gun Control Network (GCN), many of whom have personal experience of tragedies caused by the use of illegal weapons, hit out at an international campaign being run by devotees of paintball and the similar but more militaristic airsoft shooting events. I’m not quite sure where this "clash" happened but there you go, publicity of any form does at least help in some ways. There was also some news posted about the issue by the BBC (as mentioned on saveairsoft.org).
