Future Wars weekender from First and Only Airsoft

First and Only Airsoft present the Future Wars, they start with the FUEL WARS on 2nd – 4th April at the Drakelow Bunker site, Kidderminster:

11th and 12th September 2010 Future Wars bring you

Concept: to have the biggest airsoft game in history run over as many sites as we can get interested. Each site to run their own games and their own styles around one massive scenario over the weekend of 11th/12th of September 2010. There is no financial gain for the organisers as the sites keep all their cash; this event is all about the game ..

Scenario: The idea had to be a radical one to interest gamers. So we needed a different scenario, to normal, inviting the gamers to use their imagination so they can really get immersed in the story.

The Corporation Wars: Set in 2036, the world as we know it has changed unrecognisably in the post fuel wars of the 20s which left most of the current infrastructure of the world in tatters. The governments have been replaced by corporations as they now hold the power. They have split up the land masses of the Earth for control.

Capitol Americas (CA) This corporation holds sway over the Americas and is one of the most powerful from the Antarctic to the Arctic covering what was North and South America. Their way is democratic as far as the corporation always stays in control and all its subjects are share holders. The entire system is corrupt and regular back stabbing is the only way to the top .

China The only regime left from the pre fuel wars era is China, still communist in name at least. China now holds sway over most of Asia including India and even as far as Australia. The party as such has evolved with the last of the old guard being lost and a new ruthless regime taking over, power hungry for resources.

Pan Europe Corporation (PEC) This is probably one of the most changed political areas. During the fuel wars the governments borrowed heavily from the the corporations and when the time came they stepped in privatising the governments then merged together. Now the area formally known as Russia to the edge of old Europe are under the strict control of the (PEC) and having privatised the military they run the land more like a fascist state.

There are other smaller regimes i.e. the African Freedom Fighters but they will be mentioned elsewhere.

Mainland UK Before the fuel wars the UK was as we see it now, but after it’s a different story. In their fledgling years both CA and PEC Corporations wanted control of the UK seeing its military capability and resources. But instead of open hostilities they cut off all fuel to the region and funded a civil war, one side supporting CA and one PEC. With the people starving and a complete collapse of local government, it wasn’t long before anarchy set in.

With no hospitals and support services, illness was rampant. Just when things looked at their worst, a viral illness struck killing 90% of the population in weeks. The whole land mass was quarantined by agreement of the Corps. No one in and no one out, this was policed by a mercenary force left from the fuel wars.

3 years later CA have received word the mercenary force has withdrawn because of a pay dispute and PEC forces have been seen entering the waste land that is the UK.

To get the ball rolling we’re playing a few games across the UK at different sites, smaller scenarios leading up to the big game. The first is the FUEL WARS on 2nd – 4th April at the Drakelow Bunker site.

Let’s set the world record for most gamers playing the same scenario, that would be cool!
