It is 6 months since the events of hollow rock, and the detonation of a nuclear device on American soil has the world demanding answers. What happened? Has the world’s only superpower fallen so far into hard times that it can no longer control it’s own security. Borders are being reinforced globally, alert states have been raised, and the media has turned it’s unflinching eye on the USA.
Director of FEMA , Alan Simons, tasked with cleanup of what was initially believed to be a natural uranium explosion, has ended up in the centre of the lens, investigative teams were sent to hollow rock to find out what exactly happened to the small town. Their findings simply raised more questions. Knowing of the armed resistance that they may face in future investigations, he petitioned congress successfully to allow hiring of sanctioned private security forces to protect their researchers and field technicians, to some this is a slippery slope to allowing in essence , hiring of private armies, but the charismatic Simons has thus far managed to play this off as needless paranoia, “these emergency measures.” he claims “will be freely revoked, as soon as the cause of this tragedy has been discovered, and resolved” , he also appealed to the public to inform them if they had any information about survivors of the incident, citing potentially dangerous radiation levels, leading to further contamination of the population, they also have distributed leaflets and posted on their website, guides on how to spot the symptoms of radiation poisoning. Local police and highway services have also been issued with instructions to detain any individual suspected of being present at the event.
