Ian (Wormbyte on the forums) of the Town Assault event team has been in touch to provide everyone with details of the latest Town Assault event, to occur at Alpha Omega:
Well this is the 3rd instalment of the TA events and the first to step outside of an urban environment. But we don’t believe it will make it anything less of a gaming experience for the players.
All the normal great stuff from previous TA events is there. But the different environment will add a whole new dimension to the game. There will be more emphasis on patrolling, ambushes etc. But you can rest assured that this will be no normal woodlands skirmish. We still aim to give you realism, and realism does not mean hardcore-MilSim in our books. We want to immerse you in to the world of TA but you are free to find your own level of immersion that suits you best.
Event Information
TA3 will have two starting times this year. There will be places available on the 40 hour version of the event for around 30 coalition members and about half of the rebel force. The first starting time will be at 20:00 on the 29th September. The second start time, for the remaining players, will be at 12:00 on 30th September
Scenario Information
This event is based 72 hours before the events of TA2 – Operation Hammerstrike. On the one hand it focuses on a company strength unit from the British Parachute Regiment and their efforts to disrupt weapon shipments coming across the Russian border and falling in to the hands of the rebel insurgents.
But at the same time the other focus of the event is the occupation of a rebel training camp within the region which has not been discovered by the coalition.
Special Offer
The next 50 rebels to book will get a 25% discount on the ticket price. Plus when players pay they will be entitled to a 15% discount from Fire Support and a 10% discount from Soldier of Fortune!
Cheers, Ian (Event Organiser, Town Assault Team)
After personally experiencing the excellent event that was TA2 (as a rebel, naturally…), it’s certainly worth giving serious thought to attending this event.
