KWC Desert Eagle .50AE CO2 Blow Back
This airsoft replica features fully licensed trademarks from Israel Military Industries (I.M.I.) etched into its metal slide and displays the companies crest on its pebble textured grips. Weighing in at a hefty 2.5 lbs this pistol is quite the boat anchor due to a wide array of metal parts to include a metal slide and barrel. The only main plastic part to be found on this pistol is its lower frame which is solidly constructed out of ABS. As you can see, this pistol houses the 12 gram CO2 cartridge inside of a standard sized magazine so it retains its streamlined profile unlike the previous CO2 version which needed an oversized magazine to house the cartridge. When we chronographed this pistol it averaged a healthy 320 fps using a .2g BB and was effective out to 120 feet. Although, we did notice that its hop-up was pretty aggressive and would cause .2g BBs to curve up. For this reason we don’t suggest using anything lighter than a .25g. Shooting this pistol is great fun because unlike other CO2 pistols which recoil with a sharp jab, the recoil of the Desert Eagle would be best described as a strong shove. If you don’t have a good grip when you squeeze off a round the inertia of the heavy slide recoiling will actually lift the muzzle of the pistol. While not being a very realistic feature, this pistol is capable of fully automatic fire in which it can pump out 10 shots in less than 1 second. This we did find eats considerably more CO2 though and the recoil makes it very hard to keep the muzzle on target.
