Ai500 Update – Date: 25th June
We have been bumped from Mereworth by the MOD who require the site for pre-deployment training. It’s their ball and we simply have no room to argue. That’s the bad news…
The good news is that we will instead be running at Reinden Woods, which is only about 30 minutes away. Reinden has a far greater "Cold War" feel to it, and has waaay more buildings, including a 2 storey kill house and a single storey armoury.
There are numerous bunkers and slit trenches, thereby satisfying your desire for a site with a bit more of a FIBUA feel.
There are a couple of administrative issues with the change, but they are my problem, not yours – so don’t worry about them.In the meantime, check out these images.

Reinden Woods
Over 200 acres of mixed woodland a lodge that has been converted to a kill house also a bunker complex and numerous defensive trenches
Reinden Wood is in part of the East Kent Dry TrainingArea, which extends in small blocks in an arc between Hythe and Dover, extending a few miles inland. This area around Dover is steeped in military history going back for centuries. The East Kent Dry Training Area is rural in character and is used extensively by the military for tactical training exercises
