It is the foundation upon which all other Training Wing courses are built; a vital step before progressing to ‘Continuation’ and advanced ‘CRW’ levels.
Don’t let the word ‘Basic’ deceive you. This course will test you both physically and mentally.
What to expect: You will join Nimrod Platoon for an intensive day’s training developed by our specialist ex-SAS Instructors, covering topics such as:
– Kit & Weapon requirements
– Section responsibilities
– Patrol preparations and skills
– Operating effectively in the field
– Assaulting an enemy position
– Single room combat
…and more.To complete the day your new skills will be put to the test when you face the final battle scenario, working as a team to attack and occupy a designated enemy position… held by Pete Winner and Bob Podesta!
Following a debriefing it will be time to hit the bar and recount the odd war story or two.
