Rachel Edwards (rachel.edwards999@btinternet.com) is making up parcels for the Adopt a British Squaddie website and is looking for anyone willing to donate spare kit:
Dear Sirs
I am writing to you to ask if you would be kind enough to maybe donate some free products to enable me to continue supporting British soldiers overseas on deployment.
I am putting a variety of parcels together as follows:-
CLOTHING parcels (t-shirts, shorts, underwear, caps, flip-flops, socks, and things to relax in with during their rest time
FOOD parcels (snacks, sweets, soups, tea/coffee, sauces, and other packet non-perishables),
TOILETERIES parcels (shower gels, disposable razors, sun-care, talc, roll on deodorant)
RECREATIONAL (magazines, games, silly jokes) and
CHILDREN’S parcels (bubbles, lucky dip goodies, plastic toys and i am also making small stuffed knitted toys, these are for the soldiers to give to the small vulnerable children) I am also making survival/paracord bracelets
I’m doing this through an organisation called “Adopt a British Squaddie” Their website is www.adoptasquaddie.co.uk Please take a look.
The aim of sending out these parcels will help boost their moral and show our appreciation for our freedom they continue to fight for on a day to day basis.
I hope that you will be able to do something to help me achieve this aim and to just say thank you for them putting their lives at risk to protect us and allowing us to remain free
Look forward to your reply
Yours Faithfully, Rachel Edwards
