Bob "Sgt Rock" Podesta
22SAS – ‘A’ Squadron – Freefall Troop
Bob Podesta served a total of 27 years in the Army, 25 of which were with the SAS. Bob has served as a sniper with the anti-terrorist team and trained the men who went on to end the Iranian Embassy Siege. Bob’s extensive specialist knowledge in Desert Warfare, CRW and other related SF skills are highly sought and he continues to work operationally around the world.

What to expect: You will join Nimrod Platoon for an intensive day’s training developed by our specialist ex-SAS Instructors, covering theory, practice then getting it right while under fire:
– Patrol preparations and skills

(including silent communication & reacting to ambushes)
– Operating effectively in the field

(effective assault tactics, fire control orders, fire & manoeuvre and assaulting enemy positions)
– CQB

(Single room combat & room clearance)
To complete the day your new skills will be put to the test when you face the final battle scenario, working as a team to attack and occupy a designated enemy position… held by Pete Winner and Bob Podesta!
Following a debriefing it will be time to hit the bar and recount the odd war story or two.
