IED Airsoft have sent over details of an event they have organised for September in Shropshire:

OPERATION GRAND SLAM
3/4th Sept 2011
Site 2, Shropshire

Following the sudden border clashes along the Russian/Ukrainian border & subsequent invasion by Russian forces, EU coalition forces have begun airlifts of lightly armoured advance elements into the Ukrainian capital & they have immediately begun moving towards the border area to assist the Ukrainian Army. With the arrival of heavy armour still some days away it rests on the EU Task Force (EUTAF) to advance as far north as possible & occupy the strategic valleys criss-crossing the area to prevent the Russian recce teams from taking & holding these locations.

Elements of Task Force Hammer comprising British & German infantry with soft skin vehicle support have gained a foothold on the north eastern end of the Ceri Valley, an important access route to the lowland areas to the south east. A small advance team of US Rangers has also been parachuted into the valley to begin operations further to the later arrival of the US 82nd Airborne Div. They have successfully linked up with TF Hammer & are ‘in the line’ awaiting the Russian onslaught.

Meanwhile, 5 kilometres to the north, Russian recce forces, as part of a newly created 10th Guards Shock Army, are advancing quickly from their border crossing point. This recce force, the self styled ‘Red Skorpions’ are aware of the EUTAF deployment & are relishing the oncoming fight after years of EU expansion into former Soviet countries.

With both forces racing towards each other the ultimate meeting of the old cold war juggernauts is upon us:

War has begun!
