LT Mac has sent in an update in relation to their PRC-77 radios that we’ve mentioned previously:
Hi Arn,
Our working models are now available – this is a PRC-77 model radio that works with FRS or GMRS radios. – it is a plastic model – the handset connector – volume knob and potentiometer – and handles are from surplus PRC-77 radios – the radio is designed to work with FRS – GMRS radios with a female 2.5mm microphone connection and a female 3.5mm speaker connector.
Once connected the volume will work for the radio. There is a metal insert so you can attach a real PRC-77 antenna. The real antenna will be for appearance only – it will not function.
Please note that this auctions model only. No FRS-GMRS radio / handset / or antenna or any other parts come with the radio. Please see the video for an overview of the radio’s function.
