Andrew Van Der Plaats
over at AVP Consulting dropped over a line with some news and information about the paintball MKX8 rifle that was seen at the ShotShow this year and HK’s reaction to it:

Arnie,

I couldn’t help but note the comments someone sent regarding the response from
H&K at the Shot Show. While I can’t speak to what their officials may have said to
the folks with the Air Soft products, I can tell you they didn’t tell the maker of the
MKX 8 (Blackpoint Engineering) – to stop production. That’s not to
say they approved of what they saw either, just that this appears to be something
they are keeping an eye on.

Here for your review and comment are some photos of the MKX 8 Paintpellet
model from BP-USA […] Finally, here are some additional details concerning the MKX 8
The vendor plans to build two versions, a civilian recreational model,
w/hopper feed and bottom line remote and a detachable magazine
fed model for training. Civilian model to be available 1 May 05. MIL
model available Summer ’05.
