Edward at GB-Tech has very kindly shared shots of their new project that they are working on for 2005. The guys at GB-Tech are going to make a M82A1, but this is going to be slightly different from previous Airsoft Barretts. According to Edward, unlike current Airsoft replicas this model will exhibit features not seen before such as a working barrel recoil system. Here’s the latest from the guys there:

GB-Tech is going to release their year 2005 new product in first quarter.
As you can see in pictures, which is BARRETT M82A1 mid-term type.
It is gas charged non-blowback 8mm BB gun and shoots in semi-auto.
Length is 1450mm and weight around 8kg (body made by steel).
It comes with adjustable folding iron sight (which you won’t see in others replica),
retractable folding bipod, rubber carry handle and rubber recoil pad.
Even barrel can be manual retreated like real one, and bolt carrier can be pull back
to see the Dummy Bullet Type Chamber.
Incomplete disassembly / assembly also the same as real one.
It might be the most realistic airsoft BARRETT M82A1 BB gun in the world.Suggested price might less than 1800 USD.
