Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:
Dear Arnies Airsoft news,
What an awesome weekend we just had at Tuddenham! With almost 100 players across Saturday and Sunday and several people staying over Saturday night for drinks and a bonfire the atmosphere was great.
We also ran our first milsim experience day on the bank holiday Monday with Okto Eight Milsim. For those of you not in the know, this was a special event designed to give players an experience of counter-terrorist operations. The players were split into two units, given a mission brief and given time to plan their method of attack. Both units employed drastically different tactics when going up against a terrorist cell made up entirely of crew in scenarios involving covert surveillance, stealth, hostage rescue and full on assaults.
We will definitely be running another one of these days in the future, places will be limited and will undoubtedly sell out very quickly, details will go out in our newsletter and on the Okto Eight Kill Club group on Facebook, so keep your eyes open if you’re interested.
We are back at Tuddenham on 11th & 12th June for our mid-month FilmSim event. Set in the former Europe in 2037, factions will be battling to control valuable resources and positions after the fall of the major governments. Team ID for this event will be made by coloured armbands, so don’t worry too much about what you’re wearing. Ammo limits will be in operation, bandages will be used for respawns and gameplay will last for two hours at a time. At the end of each session, whichever faction controls the most positions will wield power over the region.
We are also running a night game on the Saturday as a separate event. Starting at 1900 with a safety briefing, we will move down to the village and engage in several short, sharp scenarios designed to be dynamic as well as one or two which require a more stealthy approach. If you’ve never sampled the delights of building 5 after dark, you’re in for a treat…
The following weekend sees the next instalment of “Conflict 2037” back at our Eversley site. With a great social atmosphere, free camping from Friday evening and a caterer on site, why not make a weekend of it and bring something to chuck on the BBQ?
Regards,
Josh Smith (Gunman Airsoft)
