Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:
Dear Arnies Airsoft news,
We had a huge turnout at Tuddenham at the weekend, thanks to everyone who came along and joined in. We were running a game based on the Dark Zone from Tom Clancy’s The Division game, which meant there was quite a bit of game mechanics to get through at the briefing – everybody listened and took it all in, thank you so much for your patience. We will continue to try and have themes and a bit of role-play involved on the mid-month FilmSim open weekends, and keep the simple stuff for the end of month skirmish weekend.
As for the game itself – the three groups of agents started off doing their own thing, before realising that co-operation would be a better tactic. The first extraction was a little tense, with all three teams just wanting to get some resources banked, so everybody played nice. After that however, one of the teams decided to go down the rogue route and yank another team’s bag out of the extraction zone at the last second. Their faces when they realised that the teams weren’t going to change in the afternoon were an absolute picture – actions have consequences!
Regards,
Josh Smith
Division Dark Zone at Eversley
This weekend we are doing it all again at our awesome site at Eversley. Will you join the cleaners & Last Man Battalion in their effort to retain the resources, or will you join an agency and fight to extract the most resources for your team? Will you play nice and help the other agencies, or will your desire to win get the better of you, leaving you to resort to underhand tactics? The choice is totally down to you.
Eversley Sniper Ban Lifted
The annual sniper ban at Eversley has now been lifted for the winter, as the ferns have died back enough to allow their use.
Please note that any sniper rifles exceeding 1.3J (350fps with a 0.2g BB) will need to be backed up with another weapon for use under the minimum engagement distance.
Skirmish at Tuddenham
Next weekend we are back at Tuddenham for our monthly skirmish open event. Please make sure you book rental equipment before next Thursday so we can ensure we have sufficient sets with us. Any spare equipment will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis on the day – book to avoid disappointment! We have restocked the shop as well, and we now have a sandwich van come down at lunchtime to give you a better variety of food.
Haloween Night Game at Tuddenham – Sat 28th October
It’s also time for our annual Halloween night game! Organised by the guys at Team Green Airsoft, this promises to be an immersive zombie experience. To ensure we give you a high-quality experience, numbers will be limited and need to be secured in advance by booking on the website. We WILL be turning people away if we have too many turn up without booking. We are accepting crew and extras for this event – if you’re not bothered about playing but want to dress up and add to the atmosphere, then get in touch with Team Green. I know several of you have friends who enjoy playing zombies, and we’d love to have a load shuffling around in the background to add extra atmosphere and immersion without them having to be involved in actual combat.
First Game at Huntley Wood in Staffordshire
Just a reminder that we have our first game coming up at our new site in Staffordshire. We will be running monthly open FilmSim weekends at the awesome Huntley Wood venue near Stoke with the first game being November 4th & 5th.
The first event will be a Battlefield Rush themed event using bandage rules and will see the return of the instant regen “shazam” defib pads as well as the usual timed explosives.
