{MIA}Gmac over at IronFoot has dropped over some news and information about the new DangerZone pyrotechnic products that they are stocking. Here’s the latest from the guys there:
Ok we have tested and we liked, we have only let off one of our samples ( So this is a very limited review) it split open like orange segment’s, that had been previously split around the middle. See attached picture.
We did see peas and cardboard flying away, although there we also quiet a few still at the point of detonation.
We did a comparison with our latest version Can type, also made by DangerZone, in which we have had the charge slightly uprated, and the amount the fuse sticks out shortened. This blew out both ends and very few peas were left at blast point. Quick summation:
Pros, defiantly feels nice in the hand and throws well, once it has the proposed ring pull it will be up to Dynatex type realism without the handicap of braining the opersiton, or having to be retrieved.
Feels very robust although still has to walk the line between the striker cap, being glued on well enough to prevent accidental removal, without being stuck on so well, that it is irremovable. Again I am sure the ring pull would solve this problem.
Cons, Due to round shape, the fuse may be vulnerable, if the thrown rotation is in the wrong plane, there is no safe zone if a premature detonation should occur, or some dimbo forgets to throw it. It’s likely to be in very short supply initially. {MIA}Gmac, (IronFoot)
