Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:
Hi, Arnies,
Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.
Sunday’s Gas & Spring special day was an absolutely amazing experience. Thank you so much to everyone who came along and took part. The camaraderie and sportsmanship was outstanding from everybody. We will be looking to run an evening gas, spring and low-cap day at some point soon, so keep a lookout if you’re interested.
This weekend is, of course, another skirmish open weekend at Tuddenham. The weather is set to be hot and sunny, so bring plenty of water with you. We will be capping numbers for this one, secure your place with a £15 per day deposit on the website. We will accept unbooked walk-ons on the day if we have space but may have to turn people away if we get full. Rental spaces can be booked until Thursday lunchtime, walk-ons until Friday night.
Don’t forget that we also have a MilSim event coming up at Tuddenham on 15th & 16th September. Descent: Part 4 is a modern MilSim with Russia having invaded the UK. Places must be booked in advance and kit must be adhered to. This a fully immersive 24hr experience – the game starts on Saturday morning and runs for 24hrs solidly.
We also just wanted to say a quick thank you to our regular player base for being decent and trustworthy sportsmen/women. If there’s one thing that the whole 40 Mike debate has revealed to us here, it’s how little faith the majority of site operators have in their players to be able to use equipment such as the 40 Mike in a sensible and safe manner.
We are just awaiting the arrival of a 40 Mike to allow us to carry out a full risk assessment on it before deciding how we will allow it to be used at our sites and events. We have faith that you guys will be able to use it in a safe and sensible manner and that it will bring an extra value to the game, just as high-power sniper rifles and TAG launchers have without making games any less safe.
It will undoubtedly carry a minimum engagement distance along with the requirement to use it in indirect fire mode (dropped onto enemy at range, not fired direct) and we trust that any of you guys using one will respect the other players and stick to the rules as you already do with other weapon types. It will obviously not be permitted in any of our CQB areas. Rest assured that any instances of misuse will be dealt with in the same manner as any other rule or safety violation.
