In confirmation to Arnie’s previous story (viewable here), Systema have been in touch with the full details of downtime for Systema:

Our factory is under extension/remodel construction now.

Although we continue usual business now, we have to temporarily stop business from beginning to middle of March because of carrying components in etc.

We expect that the orders which we will have received before early next week will be able to be corresponded late in March. However, as for the orders which we will receive after late next week, we expect that the shipment will be considerably delayed.

The upshot of this is most likely, at the worst, that some retailers will temporarily run out of Systema stock for a short period. However, most retailers appear to have good stock levels for Systema products normally, so the disruption should be at a very minimum.

It’s a bit later than I’d like to add it up here; I’ve been caught up in the festive season (plus just got off a long stint at work and then last minute shopping). Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

With the increase of parts available in Multicam hydrographic film, I start the series of reviews on the first products to hit the market, Magpul’s PTS MIAD Grip and CRT Stock.

Now I would like to start off by apologizing to the team at Magpul who kindly sent us these for review about 3 months back.

Due to the nature of the items I decided to go one step further and get one or two other things coated before doing the review as the items sent to us from Magpul were the Multicam coated versions of the two items and the look of the gun they were placed on looked slightly off balanced and didn’t do the parts justice.

Also with the release of other Multicam parts I thought it would be better to hold back from publishing the review as I will now run a series of reviews on Hydrographic filmed parts.

The UKARA (UK Airsofting Retailers’ Association) have been in touch to request that we place the following statement regarding their optional players database which they are now trailling:

The UKARA data base scheme is now registering Game Sites who wish to join, and some site will start registering players this weekend.  The Games sites registration application form is available to download.  The player “Skirmishers” registration form is also available to down load from http://www.ukara.org.uk and has already passed the 2000 mark. Currently over 17 sites have joined and 16 retailers with 13 awaiting approval There is no charge being made by UKARA for either registrations, please read terms and conditions before returning these forms. The data base is now operating in limited trial mode and seem to be performing up to  specification and will be fully operational before the 1st of October to enable UK Airsoft players to continue to legally purchase Realistic Replica Firearms.

Last Strike – Caerwent ATE

Another round of Town Assault is about to take place at the Army Training Estates of Caerwent. Only this event marks the end of the Town Assault series of events. The Coalition forces will pit themselves against the UCLA Rebel Insurgents for one last time as the climax of the series unfolds at the Caerwent Army Training Area. Caerwent ATE

Caerwent ATE, is a former USAF bomb storage area but is now used as an infantry training area. The entire estate consists of 400 buildings and around 35 miles of road network. The training area is located in South Wales and is just a mere stones throw from the Severn Bridge.

The area being used for the Last Strike event is 1.5km long and nearly 1km wide. A number of buildings will be in play and many more can be fought around. However, the area is absolutely huge and is the perfect location for the final battle to end the series.

The Last Strike Event

The event will be on the 13/14 October 2007 and the entry fee of the event is £75.

Last Strike will focus on the final UCLA offensive and involves a plot that will unfold during the course of the weekend where by the Coalition discover the true intentions of the UCLA at Gechin and must prevent their campaign of terror as they race against time.

So if you have always wanted to try a Town Assault event but for whatever reason have not been able to so far, then this could be your final chance.
