Danger Werx: hop up upgrades for VSR-10

Dear Arnies, Here is some non-KWA Central news, for the first time in a while.

Danger Werx just released some photos and a diagram of what looks to be his upcoming hop up levers designed for the Tokyo Marui VSR-10 and Jing Gong. For some time, Dangerwerx has been working with beta testers to reach a final design with his high engagement hop up lever. On top of that, it seems like he has been preparing a second variant as well. This 2-prong design is labeled as Type A, and the original flat bar design is labeled as Type B.

M2HB replica with BB mechanism & simfire

Robin has recently completed a M2HB replica with BB mechanism and simfire, he has sent over some details of his project as well as a couple of videos:

Hi, My name is Robin, 26 years old from Sweden. I just want to share my latest creation to raise the sense of reality in MILSIM.

Back in 2010 I decided to build a couple of M2HB to mount on the vehicles in the TF. I also built the MK93 mount for them.

A year ago I was thinking of how I could make this .50 cal a bit louder than the sewing machine AEG it was. I experimented with a gunpowder powered bolt gun but the bang wasn´t that loud as I wanted.

A GBB drop in kit wasn´t loud enough either. 

Then I found these reenactment forums and I discovered the SIMFIRE guns which is pretty common. Basically it´s two solenoids, a spark plug and an ignition coil controlled buy a circuit board. Two gases, propane and oxygen, is blended in a combustion chamber and is ignitable by the spark plug creating a loud bang and a muzzle flash.

Recently I fired the gun for the first time and I was amazed what a loud bang it really was. The gun was used on a milsim in Sweden (A Pandion and Tier1 teamwork) a week ago and people could easily hear the gun 5km (about 3 miles) through the deep forest. It was really appreciated.

    Time to break out my Level 2 FAK. Mrs Nutnfancy does a number on her finger while crafting and cuts it deep. She was applying a lot of pressure on a circle cutter when it happened. Lots of blood flowed from her cut, about 1/2" deep and into flesh too. The cut is complicated by the fact she’s on a blood thinner for her condition. I make this family video to show you how I put into practice stuff I talked about in my 2009 Level 2 First Aid kit review and discuss my approach to the wound dressing. TacticalDoodle, an EMT, helps out. Through it all Mrs Nutn is a trooper and complains not once.

    But for the money spent, it is still an exceptional bargain. I would do it all over again. I have upgrade plans for it, but only after it completely fails. This video is an overview, basically talking about what I feel is important, and what I expect from the gun. Review will come after some in game use. But I am convinced it will perform as my Viper did, with the same failures.

Op Climb to Glory

Tom of Military Simulation Airsoft Training & Operations (MSATO) has sent over some preliminary details for Op Climb to Glory, further details and a forum will be available soon but if you can’t wait that long Tom can be contacted at info@msato.org:

Hello, I’m the event organizer for Op Climb to Glory, being held at the US Army Base at Fort Drum, NY.  It is one of the few events that will allow foreign nationals onto a US military base for an event.  I use to be one of the event organizers for Op Pine Plains, but we have retired that event name and I have moved on to create OP CTG.

The event registration will open soon.  Range Control has confirmed the dates last week and just waiting on Base Commander to sign off.  I have run 5 events at Fort Drum so it should not be an issue.

I’d like to get the info out ASAP so if anyone from EU is interested in coming to one of the top US events they will have time to plan.

I currently have my website www.msato.org with some info and will provide more this weekend.  I should have a forum up soon.  I will have a new trailer up in a few day for Op Climb to Glory 2012.  If you go to the website you will see the one from the previous Op CTG.
