Right lets see if I can get through my entire list of things to mention in the news in one sweep.. this may be a biggie.
CAW have a couple of updates on their site. First is the M700 Silent, a silenced version of their M700 spring rifle. The silencer is not only effective, but the mainspring has been coated with a special resin to increase sound absorption within the mechanism, an "air buffer" has been added to the piston head too to stop the piston colliding with the cylinder face. This will probably be one of the quietest stock spring rifles produced from an Airsoft manufacturer.
Also over at CAW’s site are details of their own M203 launcher which they are in the middle of producing. The model is designed around the same dimensions of the real thing and they’ve added shots of the prototype model online. From the translation it looks that the barrel on the launcher will be made from aluminum and will come in both long and short barrel formats. Estimated retail price is 19,800 Yen
Over at ANGS Web Shop, they’ve added shots of their custom electric MG42 that’s based on an original Shoei body. Priced at 250,000 Yen it’s a pricey piece of kit, and a collector’s piece with only 50 pieces made. I saw one myself over at AEX, Torrence and it sure does weigh in much like the real MG42 (at around 6kg). If you’re in Japan the MG42 is currently on show at their Tachikawa and Meguro stores. The drum magazine will be available in the future and will carry up to 400 BBs.
I don’t think I mentioned it, but ClassicArmy have also updated their site with a poster and leaflet for the CA249 AEG that’s on the way out. The poster details that the 249 will come with a new gearbox design (the PGC copy) and a new hop up chamber.
Included in the box with the CA249 is a 300rnd M16 style magazine. More details for the CA249 release can be seen here where they detail the the MKII will weigh in at 6.6kg, and will fire at 85-95 m/s taking a large 8.4V battery. Specs for the Para model have yet to be added online.
The stainless S&W M500 from Tanaka is now out, and can be seen over at Echigoya in Japan. The silver model is priced at 23,100 Yen and is identical to the previously released black model save the colour.
CombatTV’s website is currently offline for service hopefully with a newer interface from the new staff there. For the moment the old videos from CombatTV can be found on 21st Century Airsoft‘s website who have also improved their website interface and tidied things up much more.
Details of the Marushin 8mm (Blowback MAXI) M1 Garand can be seen at MrShnkk in Japan where they were added a few days ago. Priced at 62,790 Yen the new rifle has a capacity of 8 8mm BBs, weighs in at 3430g and is 1103mm in length.
Also over at MrShnkk are details of a new compensated SAA style revolver in 8mm format (see inset image for larger image). Set for release in mid June the new pistol comes with a large custom grip, and is apparently their first custom Super Black Hawk model. The new silver blowback 8mm Automag will be out in August
The new Automag will according to Marushin use the largest piston and metal bolt ever available in the Airsoft industry, and should be pretty pokey in the blowback department. The standard model will come in a black finish at 17,850 Yen, and the silver model (which will reportedly come in the same specification as the one used by Clint Eastwood in Sudden Impact) will be slightly more expensive at 18,900 Yen.
Over at SIIS there’s details of two new 50AE springers for anyone into the more budget gear. The new springers come with ‘official’ IMI markings and logos priced at 6,800 Yen for the black model and an extra 1,000 for the silver framed model.
There’s a new set of gears listed at Echigoya called the Phoenix "High Protection Gear Series". It’s hard to tell from just the one photo, but I’m pretty sure that the new sector gear shown is a planetary gear, which is the same style as seen pioneered in the new Systema Training Weapons. This more advanced mechanical advanced system is commonly used in more advanced engineering applications to handle high stress environments.
There are six different gear sets available from Phoenix (all at around 10,416 Yen) which range in torque strength and are designed to power anything from an M90 to an M200 spring. It’s worth nothing that for some of the sets a single tooth piston is needed.
There will be a series of springs coming out from Phoenix Corporation in the near future too.
Over at Element Concepts Permian has added a selection of interest guides, including one on what parts you don’t want to buy for your gearbox, and a list of parts that are recommended for M4/16 upgrades. Checkout his website for more updates.
At Endoshoji the Electric M93r from TM can now be reserved. The pistol itself is priced at 165USD, and it uses the same battery and charger as the previous G18C model that used the same system. The electric M93r has a capacity of 40 BBs, features and adjustable hopup unit and weighs in at 810g. Also at Endoshoji the MK23 full set from Marui is on offer at 99USD.
Well there’s a heap more to add and to save it all spilling over the bottom of the page I’d better add some news under its own heading.
