Urban Asssault: Tour of Duty 17th April, RAF Upwood

The communist forces of Vietnam have long held the cities and towns in the central and northern regions of the country.

This part of the Tour of Duty campaign sees the US forces making small exploratory raids into these cities, these raids form part of an effort to assess the strength and composition of the communist forces. It will see many hard pressed missions in the cities where enemy strength is high, as will be casualties. Vital intel must be gathered and key buildings must be destroyed for the campaign to advance.

The city of Whey Lok is just north of the DMZ and is key to the drive north, the US will begin with the smallest of footholds in the formerly French North Western sector of the city. The drive will be to the east and Intel must be gathered to indicate the locations of communist jungle positions north of the city.

The communists are expected to booby trap the city heavily and the US must expect every building to take its toll on their men. They only have their own 2 tube mortar section for close support and the distant firebase Victorie for long range 105mm support………….

The game will be for one full day and will consist of the US v Communist forces fighting for domination of key areas of the city, The US success here will shape the start of the campaign later in the year, back in the hot shitty jungle.

• The cost of the day will be £25.
• Payment is required by card in advance of the game.
• When you book please select your side, US or Vietnamese
• The game will be milsim style with midcaps only for aegs and ammo limits
• AEG fps will be 328 + 5%, burger van will be on site up to 2pm.
• Team colours and look should try to reflect the team you are on.
• The game will be limited to a maximum of 100 payers.

There will be a possibility of camping at the woodland site (Bulby) on the Saturday night after the urban gameas we have one of our regular woodland events on on the Sunday.
