Right, I’m going to see if I can get through everything that’s flagged here for a mention, some might be old, some might be new, but at least I can ensure that I’ve covered everything and can get back on track with my emails (another gazillion left to answer and respond to today..). Over at First Factory they’ve updated their pages with a few new listings. The new Marui 4.3in Hi-CAPA is listed, there’s no release date given as of yet, but price is set to around 15,000Yen. There’s also the Tanio Koba USP 40 Tactical, and the Tanaka M700 AICS that we saw in ARMS listed. Price and release date for the AICS is unknown, but it’s unlikely to cost much more than similar m700 varients from Tanaka.
On the subject of the Tanio Koba USP 40 Tactical there’s details over as his/their own site. The 40 is a revival of their USP design, and from what I can read the highlights are that is comes with a TK twist barrel installed for greater accuracy and the gas system in the blowback mechanism has been improved to incorporate a larger bore cylinder. Whilst remaining compatible with previous versions the main changes to the new model are listed as:
Metal front sight (silencer – high type for installing)
Metal adjustable rear sight
Silencer adapter equipped metal outer barrel
Trigger guard now closer copy of the actual gun
General purpose rail adapter attachment
Full stroke recoil buffer
HOP design modification
HOP twist barrel now fitted as standard
Power and recoil cylinder
size increases
Zinc alloy one piece magazine
The TK USP 40 is due out soon (exact release date eludes me at the moment).
Systema Engineering have sent out some shipping/completion details about their complete mech-boxes:
1. IJ/M120 version that we have received pre-orders until today will be shipped on October 24th.
2. As M150 version will be assembled after we get a new device, it will be sent on November 10th. Kumi, (Systema Engineering)
JTech have several new items listed on their pages, there’s a rappelling harness (no sure if it’s jsut for show or safety rated), a cellphone pouch, a "secret service" bag (kinda a DPM handbag by the looks of it.. not my thing really) and a decent looking airbourne backpack called the Falcon-II.
KingArms have the SVD listed on their pages that was mentiond earlier (more details in the forums). There’s a couple of new shots there, plus they have a black ABS stock/grip version and accessories for the rifle including a replica scope. The specs for the SVD are listed as:
Spring Air System
Full metal air-cocking system
Full metal constructed body
Magazine capacity 35rounds 6mm
Realistic wood look-a-like stock/grip
Flip up rear sight with indicator
Precise 590mm inner barrel
Metal outer barrel
Cheek pad
Power at 450fps out the box
Total length 1220mm
Weight 2700g
Over at First Factory there’s several new parts listed with them including a loooooong 7 inch slide for the Hi-CAPA series (yeah there’s more slides for the thing but this one is huge), a companion recoil spring set for the 7inch slide set and a 7inch metal barrel to top everything off. It’s not quite a GBB Colt longslide (when will someone make a decent metal GBB one?) but it might temporarily ease your pain if you’re searching for one.
Int he PFC retail world both ModelGuns.co.uk and ModelGunCollector have a large selection of new listed stock. It’d be a long taks listing everything that’s there so I’ll have to cop out and say that if you’re after a new PFC check out those two sites and see if there’s something that you like.
Mokei Paddock have a smulated mortor that takes bb-shower moscarts on their pages. Perhaps not the most practical addition to your collection but it’s certainly different (you’d certainly look different wandering onto a game field in workshop clothes). Scroll down their pages to see more shots in details and check out this page.
The "Tom Cat M14" launcher retails for 17,800Yen and has a break open design at the base that allows you to recover any bb-shower grenade that you drop down it.
No update is really complete without some new WA releases, so I thought I’d add the images of WA’s Kimber copies courtesy of Noda-Ya to the pages here (they still have that rather horrible smudged Kimber logo decal). There’s shots of the new OD version, two tone and silver models. The WA TLE/RL II is out now and priced around 23,000Yen.
I have no idea if I’ve mentioned it in the past, but there’s shots of the Springfield Operator slide and frame set from PGC on their site at the moment. There’s still a reference to this ‘pro-win.com’ site that apparently makes AEG parts, however the DNS still doesn’t resolve.
PM Concept‘s website design has been updated and now includes an annoying flash intro that you can’t skip (gotta love them), although when it does loads there’s some rather good sketches of some SouthPark-esque Airsoft characters. Either click the green grenade (here) for the toy section or the black one (here) for the Airsoft area to avoid the intro.
There’s not much there at the moment, although they have listed the PM Concept M14 rail set that they have in the works.. not another blooming one, oh well.
Rusmilitary have a rather nice belt holster for compatible pistols. It’s really intended for a EFA-1 or EFA-2 Makarov, and as yet, there’s no decent Airsoft copy out there at the moment. Given the break system any cheap plastic pistol would probably smash in two if it was pushed downwards for a quick snap release.
At Sheriff there’s not much that new, although they do have a stainless spring housing for the R-Type Wilson Combat SCW range on their pages now. As it’s stainless you can expect it to cost pretty penny, as that material isn’t easy to machine.
Special Forces Gear have updated their website, and have a couple of new offers listed on there, one for a Camelback and the other for a MOUT sling.
Technical difficulties would seem to have befallen STTi’s pages at the moment, they’ve either moved hosts, or accidentally pressed the big old button ‘o doom, as you’ll be greeted by a FC Apache startup page if you pop over at the moment.
There’s still no official release date on the Star Airsoft L85 copies (all we have so far is "before the end of the year"), although there are some nice shots of the LSW and AFV versions on their pages at the moment. Their pages tend to load slowly so you’ll have to be patient.
Over at Unconcentional Airsoft there’s a semi review of the ATOZ/KM SVD. Rather sadly.. A semi-review is what you get when the gun is new, but was so damaged in transit that it isn’t currently in a working state! :) I’ll have some pics and will comment on the look and feel of the parts used in construction, but no performance reports just yet.
The lads at X-Fire have been busy as ever producing new parts by the buckload. As highlights there’s the 390 outer barrel for the M14 range, an improved front sight for the M14, and the 412 outer barrel for the M14. There’s also items such as ‘tactical’ muzzles for the M14.. if you’re after bits for your M14 then look no further.
Don’t forget that there’s the English pages for X-Fire as well (incase the Japanese pages are a bit to cryptic for you). Better break for a brew and get through my email and the rest of the updates to do in a moment.
