Well the as new Maruzen CA870 seems to be going down well as a value spring shotty (LH image source LAGunshop) I thought I’d do some digging into what you can get for it of late, and what’s new in some of the obscure shops in Japan. ANGs have now made replacement long and short barrels for the 870, and a replacement magazine tube. You can find some rather "interesting" looking CA870 productions from ANGs on their website. Sadly I’ve not seen any metal bodies for them yet:
These kinds of projects are certainly not for all, as they lack realism (silenced shotguns?), but equally make bargain basement sniping platforms with all the upgrade parts available (ANGs make Hop sets and spring guide upgrades for it). Oh if you’re after fitting an M4 stock to your CA870 like that as shown below you need to grab a FactoryBrain adapter. The VLTOR stocks are most likely real not copies, as FactoryBrain have been out to see VLTOR themselves recently.
Whilst we’re on the subject of ANGs they have the new Trigger Happy scopes on their pages, which may have been overlooked with the many other scopes released of late. Trigger Happy have a new replica Eclan unit out (23,800Yen), this comes from the same people that make the popular new AimPoint. Looking at the shots, the Trigger Happy scope doesn’t look anywhere near as good as the Samurai replica that we will shortly see from AirsoftSupplier.
