Spec Ops Airsoft have sent over details of Operation Sandstorm:

Hi Arnie, Dave from Spec Ops airsoft here, I just wanted to let you know about a special game we have coming up at the end of May at our desert warfare site "The Rock." Here are the details:

SPEC OPS AIRSOFT: Operation Sandstorm
DATE: May 27th – 30th

SITUATION:
For five years now, the once peaceful province of Portlandia has been the site of a proxy war fought between the People’s Democratic Republic of Weymouth (PDRW) and the Commonwealth of Dorsetia (COMDOR). So far, the two nations have been using PMC’s, black ops teams and local insurgent forces to further their own goals in the region. However, as diplomatic relations have broken down the two nations are now mobilizing the forces. The PDRW and the Commonwealth are now on the brink of all-out war.

Taking advantage of the situation, a small revolutionary force has been building up numbers, strength and weapons. United by a common goal, the Portlandia Independence Army, or PIA, is looking to free the people, and deliver unto them a Portlandia which is unscarred by the petty differences of her neighbours. They are determined to teach their neighbours that Portlandia belongs to the Portlandians.

GAME OUTLINE:
Operation: Sandstorm will be an immersive airsoft experience set at the UK’s premier desert airsoft skirmish site: Spec Ops – The Rock. The game will consist of one continuous primary objective, with secondary objectives being set hourly. Further intel detailing the primary and secondary objectives will be made available at a later date. There will be no strict chain-of-command in effect, although we do ask each team that books to elect a ‘team leader’ for mission briefing duties.

Rather than use red/yellow armbands, we ask that players adhere to their teams uniform, in order to create an immersive experience.

The PIA force is a marshal-run team, which will add a third dimension to the standard ‘team vs team’ gameplay.

The game will run from 11.00 – 17.00 on Saturday AND on Sunday, with hot food available on Saturday evening, and a ‘Spec Ops – Zombies’ game at 20.00 on Saturday evening. (Pistols and shotguns only  )
