  • TAG Intrepid Chest Rig Review
    LINK TO PRODUCT: http://www.opticsplanet.net/tactical-assault-gear-tactical-vest-tag-intrepid-chest-rig.html

This chest rig is definitely one of my most favorite rigs next to my Eagle Industries Plate Carrier with Cummerbund. It’s lightweight, simple, and most of all it comes with quality pouches. Most of the pouches have massive drainage ports so you won’t have to worry about carrying extra weight if you come out of the water (Sorry I forgot to mention that in my review). The mag pouches are excellent as they can accommodate quite a variety of magazines. The modifiable retention straps for the pouches was a big plus for me as heard in the video. I would also like to say you could take off the bungee straps completely but the mags would be a bit loose. Even though I love this chest rig, I wish TAG would have just replaced the utility pouches with MOLLE and allowing more user freedom. I run a paddle mounted SERPA on the right side of my hip and the utility pouches do get in the way. That’s the only con I could find about this chest rig and that only applies to me. I would like to say the quality of the craftsmanship by TAG on this product is incredible, the stitching is spot on and when you hold this piece of kit in your hands just from the feeling you already know it’s a quality product.

I do not own the song featured in this video and all credit for the music goes to its original owner(s).

  • "Speed Metal" Pt 3: Troy Industries/TNP Shoot by Nutnfancy
This video’s short…the 40 minutes will go fast. Three runs are thrown down on the Sledgehammer Short Drill: James, Matt, and TacticalDoodle. We hook James into a CZ 75 B just in case the "zero" was off on his other pistol (Glock). He’s a bit off with it but presses on with some AK action, using a TNP Arsenal SGL31 5.45mm for the rest. Matt weighs in with DPMS .308 and puts down a respectable run. He’s got a good trigger press as he connects at 200 yards with that beast. Lunchtime ensues and I take you along for the food fest: HUGE pizza-sized grilled sirloin burgers and PFI’s dogs on the grill. Most excellent grub. We talk a bit about systems and we’d like to see a quality adjustable stock and rail system from Troy for the AK rifle. TacticalDoodle with Santa hat and all kicks it in geart with his next run and ties the day’s high score at 58 points. Holy cow! The timing on the run was an abortion since two targets had to be set up again (knocked over from getting rocked by the .308 50 times) and he wasn’t setting a speed record. But his accuracy is dialed in, shooting the S&W 1911 Pro Series and SGL31 with precision (full points at 200 yd stage, very hard to do). This includes probably the best 35 yard group of the day while head shooting the PBG (paper bad guy). Somewhere along the way I stuff tissue in my nose to stop the snot. ///////////////////Music: Licensed from Jason Shaw///////////////// Get your TNP branded gear at HTTP://WWW.NUTNFANCY.BIGCARTEL.COM
  • Nutnfancy Favorite 10/22s: Troy/TacSol T-22
A bone stock Ruger 10/22 is a load of fun. Having shot them since 1976 and sent 10,000s of rounds downrange in them, I’m in love with stock 10/22s. But they can be amped up to new levels of cool and capability. In this video I show you a Nutnfancy Favorite Ruger 10/22, a true Hall of Famer. On it I’ve mounted the Troy Industries T-22 "Sport" chassis and the Tactical Solutions threaded barrel and comp and some other minor components, all of which add a lot to the gun’s fun. It’s superlight at 5 lbs 4 oz and is razor fast into action (shown). The 6000 series chassis proved tough and durable in 1000s of rounds sent in harsh winter conditions. It attaches easily to the 10/22 reciever, it’s very stable, durable, and provides monolithic optics capabilities. The included Troy Battlesights are phenomenal and when that front post is replaced with a .034" sight, amazing accuracy results. Of course props must be given to the also amazing Tactical Solutions barrel which easily achieves one hole groups at 50 yards (shown) with CCI MiniMag ammunition. I recommend always going with the threaded versions so as to attach the TacSol compensator or a quality suppressor. Reliabiity with Ruger BX-25, Butler Creek Steel Lips, and Tactical Innovations magazines was excellent overall. Preliminary testing of the BlackDog 50 rd drum in this setup disappointed. Other upgrades on this TNP HOF gun include a Clark Custom trigger, Tangodown grip, Magpul CTR stock, and Force Productions extended charging handle. With an outfitted Weaver RV9 scope on a UTG mount (works great), accuracy possibilities continue well out to 100 yards (hard to hear steel hits beyond 50 yards in our areas though). The ergonomics are superior: slim, clean free-floated foreend has no sharp edges or extraneous rail. Simply attach the rail sections you want (discussed). Tested with TNP crew and the manufacturers themselves (thanks to Keith at TacSol and the boys from Troy), this setup proved itself as one of the best 10/22 platforms around. //////////////////////////////////Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 out of 10
