Joker of Black Ops Elite tests out a new innovation that BoE is working on. It’s a spring powered SMAW rocket launcher. It uses a large piston/cylinder similar to an AEG. This video is of the initial range testing, and was done while firing INTO the wind . Range was approximately 300 feet on average, up to 400 if angled properly.
The main benefit to this system is not only relatively quick reloading time, but vastly superior consistency from shot to shot (read accuracy) versus any green gas, co2 or propane launcher. This means optics CAN and SHOULD be used , with great effect.
Not only do you not have to fill and carry inherently inconsistent MOSCART grenades to use as a propellant, you don’t have to BUY the grenades! All you need is the launcher and your rockets.
The prototype shown obviously has not been cosmetically finished, as there is no rocket tube, marking rifle or optics. Weight as shown in video is 12lbs. even. Anticipated final weight to be just under 15 lbs. including 6 rockets.
This model will most likely be used mainly as a field prop for scenario games, but it could be slung and carried as well.
We will be field testing the completed prototype in a few weeks, check back for video on that.

With the fresh taste of Spring nearing, the day was filled with awesome action. Ill admit in saying that insurgent forces had it a bit rough in the first part of the day. Eventually tides turned and fighting was intense for both sides. I played with both standard gameplay footage and POV style video.
