This is simply a collaboration of clips from the Black Polo Operator Day held back in August of 2012. Tominator’s friend, Guillermo Lopez organized the event. Brian Holt and a number of other well-seasoned players showed up to get their game on. Tominator was running the KWA LM4 GBBR as his primary and a KWA HK45 as his secondary. Helmet Cam footage from American Milsim’s Operation Rebel Yell at the Camp Gruber MOUT facility. This video was taken from the Direct Action Mission (DAM) where the Mako Team and Jonathan from Airsoftology are tasked with subduing a hostile VIP from a secure building and extracting him across the AO.

The DAM is a unique scripted squad mission against Role-Player opponents, but takes place in the live airsoft battlefield during the event… so it adds to the chaos!

Note: This is unique to airsoft, we were allowed to go "Hands-On" with the role players if they resisted, and live pyro was used during the door breaching. Both situations were carefully planned and executed under the supervision of trained professionals in their field within a closed enviroment. DO NOT try this at home!

Wish me luck, and enjoy this week’s video! The tying technique is called the Jagged Ladder Bar. It’s a super firm tie that lends itself to a variety of iterations. So be sure to toy around with it and show me what you come up with (I’ve found about five spin-offs so far).

In this week’s Knot of the Week we’ll show you how to coil a climbing rope so that you can easily carry it on your back. While we use the term coiling, the real definition of this method is called flaking. Flaking allows the rope to be gathered in the natural way it lies and doesn’t add any unnecessary twists to the rope. Twists can kink over time reducing the life of the rope fibers, as well as lead to knotting when undoing the rope.

Carrying a rope in this configuration will allow a climber to move with the least amount of weight possible to reach their destination. Carrying the rope like this also helps a climber maintain a good center of gravity. Trying to free-climb with a backpack full of rope adds unnecessary risk to an already dangerous task.
