Not reliable in several outings, this Sig 1911-22 was sent back to Sig. Upon its return it did much better. This saga along with the results of all the outings is covered in this detailed Nutnfancy tabletop review on this 1911 .22 option. Competing against .22 1911 conversions like TacSol, Kimber, and Wilson Combat, this RTR .22 is made in Germany by GSG and marketed under the Sig name. It is functionally identical to other GSG 1911-22s. Different colors are offered. At 34 ounces, it mimics your centerfire 1911 well, with similar balance and ergos (discussed). Some low points in the design include a non-positive safety, a weird cupped beavertail, a magazine disconnect safety, proprietary slight dovetails, and of course errant reliability (until fixed). But in action we found the 1911-22 to be extremely accurate and fun. No a substitute for the real deal, the Sig .22 offers much improved economy and some practice with the 1911 form factor. Firepower is adequate at 10 rds though the Umarex produced 1911-22 beats its with 2 more rounds. Compatibility / To Determining the inner barrel length you need:
This barrel is compatible with all Marui compatible AEG. The key to choosing an optimized inner barrel is to prevent it from exposing out of your outer barrel (or flashhider and mock silencer extensions) while maximizing it’s length for optimized performance. Please note that the stock barrel length in your gun may not always be optimized for mass production models.
To determine the length you need, measure from where the magazine feed the bb to the tip of your inner barrel, or where you want your inner barrel to end. Subtract ~5mm for hopup unit. Remember, it is perfectly okay to have an inner barrel shorter than your outer barrel, or have the exposed sections hidden in a longer flashhider or mock silencer.

Inner Barrel FAQ: If you greatly increase the inner barrel of your AEG, you may want to make sure your gearbox Cylinder is adequate and the rate of fire may need to be lowered. In this episode, Thor takes out this awesome AirSplat Custom Sleeper Airsoft AEG 01T. The Sleeper is Based off the Boyi D-Boys Mk16 TAN and although it may look like a stock gun all you have to do is fire the Sleeper to see it is anything but stock. The Sleeper simply amazed our technicians when they test fired this gun, it shoot and AMAZING 35 BPS! At 378 FPS! Firing the sleep is nothing short of amazing the BB’s shoot at such a rate of fire that it will turn the heads of everyone on the field the first time you fire it. To achieve such enhanced performance we added a Madbull X Factor Full Teeth Piston, Echo1 Max Speed Motor, and Madbull 300mm Tight Bore Barrel.
