There’s a lot of interest in the upcoming CA249 release from ClassicArmy but very little hard information around at the moment. As promised, with the factory approval I can give you some more information about Classic Army M249 series. The project name is CA249, this new series is composed of three variants:
CA249, CA249 MKII and CA249 P (paratrooper version)
The building process of this gun is very similar to the real steel M249. The barrel and many other parts are CNC machined using state of the art CNC machinery and high grade aluminum. The metal body is exactly like the real gun and made of sheet metal cut, bent and soldered – this gun is rock solid!
For this new series CA will use a new gearbox with steel gears and reinforced piston. Performance will be top level and the mechanical components will be very reliable, after all the electric-feed magazine is 2500 rd…
Like the real gun the CA249 can use M16 magazines, C-magazines or box-magazines. Price is not confirmed yet, but it will be a very nice surprise for Classic Army fans. Release date? this is Top Secret… I have attached some photos that have never seen before. Sergio, (ClassicArmyItalia)
