The two-strand footrope knot is #783 in ‘The Ashley Book of Knots’. It makes for simple neat paracord zipper pull, pocket knife fob or lanyard, and can be tied in a series and worked close together or spaced out.

An example of a paracord cross is shown, done with two separate strands of gutted paracord, one strand for the top knot, another for the bottom three knots, then strands from the top and bottom are paired off to tie the arms on each side, ends trimmed/melted to finish.

I used leftover paracord scraps for the cross, and think the top piece was a little over a foot long and probably two feet for the bottom piece, but that was more than was needed so I trimmed the excess.
