Copperhead was an amazing event! With Jet, Spartan117GW, and the guys from Milsim West, they made taking building look easy! A look at my Spartan by DL. Output is 1.6W. Wavelength 447nm. The beam shows up nicely in evening light and is vivid at night. This video shows it off. There is a train in this video, but please note that I would never aim a laser at a train or even use it within close proximity to one. I am a responsible owner.

This tutorial shows how to mix and apply glow-in-the-dark powder and epoxy to modify a few EDC (everyday carry) items. Glow-in-the-dark powder can be found on ebay/amazon in various colors. I bought the Devcon 2 Ton epoxy (dries clear) at walmart, and it can be found online as well.

The 5 minute epoxy dries too fast for my liking, so I prefer the 30 minute version. I’ve found actual working time with the mix is usually around 15 minutes, so I do what I can within that time, but not go so fast that I get sloppy and make mistakes. If I get some of the mix outside of where I’m applying it, I clean it up with the edge/corner of a razor blade.

I first tried working with various glow-in-the-dark paints about a decade ago with skull beads for paracord lanyards, but they were mostly low quality paints or just didn’t work well, so I gave the epoxy/glow powder mix a try around 2007 with the powder shown used in the tutorial, that a friend had given me a year earlier.
