Just thought I’d post a quick heads up for people regarding this as it’s slipped under the radar of a lot of places, but due to its uncommon setting thought it might appeal to a few players who hadn’t noticed:
GUNMAN Proudly presents…
COLD WARScenario
Cold War – Poland 1983
Overall story
East German and Russian communist insurgence has secretly set up a staging point inside the North Eastern border of Poland. It’s believed by the west that they intend to force a military Coe on the newly elected Polish Republic government and return Poland to communist rule. The communist insurgence has set up key positions around a well-defended CP and built a supplies runway for a large staging area. The Coalition has sent in a task force made up of elements of the United States Delta Force and the British Army SAS. The objective is to gather intelligence in readiness to launch operations to clear insurgence forces. The Insurgence must hold onto this staging ground and supplies they have massed for the arrival of the main Communist Army, which could arrive at any time!
The event will feature:
Long and short recon missions
Offensive and defensive operations across the whole site
Dozens of individual missions all tied together in a linear story
Mobile units for both sides
Radio communications towers and the very best in props and affects.A non-stop, action packed war, this is a skirmish weekend with the very best elements of Filmsim added to the mix. Both sides will be fielded by Gunman Marshals and co-ordinated through out the whole experience.
Josh (Gunman Airsoft)
Booking is now open, and costs a measly £35 for advance booking (£45 up front). The event is also currently capped at 50, so interested parties best get their skates on.

There’s been a lot of discussion in this thread about sightings of a full size Stargate Ring close to junction 2 of the M6 motorway.
After some discussion it has been revealed that the site belongs to Predator Sport, and is currently under development as a paintball site (hence the cowering paintballers you may notice in one of the pictures attached).
However, the good news (before any of you contemplate converting to the dark side) is that Ansty Airsoft have negotiated with Predator to run airsoft events alongside the paintballers at the site, and the first event is coming soon:
After a trip to the Site and a meeting with Alex and Dean the paintballs site team. We have set a date for the first airsoft game at Ansty Airsoft it will be on the 21st of March.
Please take a look at our website and if your interested then please book throught the site or by contacting Myself or Mark on the numbers which you can also find on there.
- Walk on fee- £20 with lunch
- On site shoplimted battery charging
- To find out more about Ansty Airsoft please visit our website:

LCT Airsoft have just e-mailed through with a list of new releases. The majority are individual parts to help ‘tacticool’ your AK, along with the individual components to build an AMD-65 (as reviewed last year here), but the following two might be of some interest:
AKMS Real Assembly AEG (Ver.2009) / AKM Real Assembly AEG (Ver.2009)
LCT have given an eta of the 20th of February for the release of both. Details are sketchy on the ‘real assembly’ at the moment, but I would presume this means the rifles are pinned and can be disassembled (have a realistic take down) like their real steel equivalents.
Jimmy (Moocow) has been in contact with some news from Hong Kong. The annual Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair has been running there, and he’s been talking to several of the key Chinese manufacturers:
KA GBB M4A1
Firstly, in addition to WA / WE / Inokatsu and Dboys who are apparently already manufacturing and selling GBB M4s, KA also have a working prototype and are considering sales, but area first apparently considering the commercial viability of such a project and the possibility of partnership with one of the existing manufacturers.
Many thanks to FightingCock (FC) of the Obliterators for allowing this mugshot to be taken by MooCow!
KA Blowback AEGs
Moocow reports that he considered the prototype KA M4 GBB to work better than the WE variant, with an improved FPS and reliability and better quality materials.
KA are also apparently planning to release a new range of blowback AEGs, including a Galil and SIG 556 (pictured).
New ACM Manufacturer with GBB PTW & GBB MP5
Moocow also reported on a new ACM brand, who he suspects is named P&G, although it is possible they may be P&J; apparently their representative’s dialect coupled with a lack of printed logos made it difficult to be sure. Apparently the company are manufacturing M4 PTW GBBs & MP5 GBB, which certainly makes them a manufacturer to look out for.
That’s not all; the manufacturer are also seeking to produce an AEG M60 along with other AEG support variants
LCT Airsoft
LCT Airsoft also had a stand at the expo, where they were demonstrating some of their new wares. Most of these have been identified already in previous news, but it’s certainly worth watching this space; they’re clearly determined to carve a name for themselves as cheaper Inokatsu-grade AEG manufacturers.
Pics will come as and when Jimmy can get around to sending them me (which will be soon, hopefully!)
STI / SRC
Nothing remarkable to report here, other than expect everyone’s favourite cheapsoft manufacturer to produce yet more AEG clones of existing replicas out on the market before long.
Filou Chen of LCT Airsoft has been in touch with their latest release, expected to available from the 20/01/09 (that’s 01/20/09 for you Americans with your bizarre calendar).
As this is effectively an Inokatsu-quality rifle at an affordable price, it’s certainly worth considering for anyone after an soviet loadout (click on the image to the left for a larger version).
Anyone interested should probably check the LCT airsoft website for more information and look on WGC Shop’s site for any suggestion of prices. Based upon the prices of their AMD-65, I’d expect the rifle to be available for around the $200 mark. :)
While, I finally got around to it, after server crashes and a particularly unpleasant bout of sickness and diarrhoea. You may (or probably won’t) recall that I contacted LCT Airsoft a while back to buy some of their advertised RPK components from them. Well, here they are, and here’s the reviews with some brief extracts:
The receiver is solid. VERY solid. It arrived cable-tied to a cardboard backing and wrapped in Taiwanese newspapers, and I have to say even this probably is not necessary for a receiver this resilient. Owners of Inokatsu steel receivers will not be disappointed; in terms of build quality this receiver seems identical in every way…
…What this exposes, however, is the fact that there’s a serious market gap for RPK sights. One manufacturer addressing this is LCT Airsoft. This is certainly very similar in appearance to a real steel RPK sight. Both windage and elevation work perfectly, with the windage dial accurately shifting the sight accordingly, and the elevation bar being a solid piece of metal designed to bite in place – unlike the Marui alternatives of old, which invariably slid up and down the sight before vanishing in the closest bush.
The AK / RPK Bolt review will follow as soon as I feel a bit more lucid, but for now that’s all from me!
Cazboab has posted his first official Arnies review for the site on the new Deepfire M4. I’ll leave it to him to explain more:
Hi there folks, we’ve got a second review this week, not quite as exclusive, as Marlowe’s kashni-thingy, but Deepfire have sent us one of their new M4s for a look-see, its got titanium gears, titanium piston teeth, titanium coated other buts and I’m pretty sure the titanium is made of titanium.
Anyway on the outside its got replicas of some of the fanciest aftermarket AR-15 bits around and German made plastic bits(the only parts on the gun I’m relatively sure haven’t got much titanium in) inside its got Deepfire’s lovely titanium bits, so have a look at the review here. (Cazboab)

LCT Airsoft have kindly sent us a review sample of their first public released rifle: the soon to be released AMD-65 AEG. You can read my full comments on the rifle here (apologies – there’s a lot of them, and photographs to boot!), but here’s a sample:
I have to confess I was somewhat ambivalent when first asked by Ryh Yeou to review their new AMD-65, but once the rifle arrived, I have to say I quickly started to find myself developing a soft spot for the AKM’s ugly brother.
However, one thing which struck me about the rifle as I removed it from its packaging was how timeless in design it seemed, in the flash. Without the laminated wood which so dates its Soviet kin, the AMD-65 could easily be passed off to the unaware as a CQB variant of an AK, with the only hint at its past being its traditional ‘47’ style ribbed 7.62mm magazine and upper ribbed receiver cover.
Another strong impression was of the weight and solidity of the rifle. Ryh Yeou worked previously as a manufacturer operating on behalf of Inokatsu, and this association shows. Upon first impressions, there is very little to separate the rifle from an Inokatsu AMD-65, either in weight, quality of materials or finish. Unlike Inokatsu clone manufacturers such as Unicorn, the AMD-65 has a smooth and glossy finish to the receiver (in contrast to all other Inokatsu rifles I own, which have a matt and textured finish), with all components feeling solid and sturdy. All metal components appear to be solid steel (including the barrel and flash hider), with the plastic pistol grips both having a slightly rubberised, high quality feel to them. I was further impressed by the inclusion of what appear to be appropriate Hungarian trademarks on the receiver – no Izmash factory brands from a Russian AK, as you might find on a home-made alternative!
You can read my full comments on LCT Airsoft’s first major release here. Expect a review of their AK parts (such as their RPK receiver) soon!

Matt Rowell (Airsoft Pacific)
Lawrence (Maple Leaf on the forums) has been in touch with details of quite an interesting blog. I’ve had a browse myself and found it to be one of the more interesting blogs I’ve encountered on the web:
Just a quick note about… http://strikehold.wordpress.com
"Strike – Hold!" is the European blog about special operations forces and military-orientated action hobbies, and brings a unique (and often exclusive), sometimes in-depth, and always well-informed and personal look at the stuff that people like us are interested in.
Cheers,
Lawrence
Written by an ex-serviceman and discussing a range of content including a commentary on current events in the news, the blog is certainly worth a visit for any other ex-service types or any civilians (like myself) merely interested in an alternative perspective. :)
No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. Krzysztof Perkowski from Heavy Airsoft Gear has been in touch with details of their soon to be released PKM:
Hi,
I’d like to inform you that we will made prototype of new
replica, it will be PKM.Krzysztof Perkowski (Heavy Airsoft Gear)
As the image suggests, HAG will be selling 31 PKMs (presumably they are building some for personal use and require this many to cover the cost / make a decent profit on the rifles.
Pricing appears to be €850 (roughly £670 of our Earth currency), although sadly there’s little indication of whether these PKMs use brand new, CNCed receivers or are, as many PKMs currently on the market are, modified from a de-activated rifle.
Obviously if it is the latter there could be all manner of potential legal issues, so please check with your home country legislation regarding the importation / modification of de-activated rifles.
Just one last note – HAG also state on their website that they will be soon offering limited stock of the RPG7 – so it may be worth watching their site!
As an update to this news piece, Filou Chen of LTC Airsoft has been in touch with some updated photographs showing their AMD-65 conversion kit:

Filou Chen from LCT Airsoft has been in touch to inform us of their entry into the airsofting market:
Dear All,
I would like to present a new maker of airsoft in TAIWAN. www.lctairsoft.com .
The LCT airsoft did OEM/ODM of "AK series" full-line products for INOKATSU’s & Guader’s since several years. Now all international sales turn exclusively to us. (RYH YEOU TRADING CO., LTD.)
We will have a Hungary AMD-65 conversion kit and Full AEG soon. Of course we can provide any AK conversion kits or parts.
(Filou Chen, LCT Airsoft)
Of particular interest to me is the fact that they appear to be willing to sell individual components from existing kits. I’m going to contact them shortly and see if I can buy a RPK receiver (see above). Should I be able to do so, look forward to a review soon!
