I had some more information sent over to me by Ryan (aka Privatecowboy on the forums) about the Stirling Event that was seen in the Telegraph on Friday. It’s nice to be kept informed as I didn’t know any more than was in the article. Apparently the event was one that the guys at AirsoftIreland.com were involved with in conjunction with Stirling Services. Their intention was to launch Airsoft in NI, but didn’t expect the mainland press to pick up on it.
Although no one is really complaining about the welcome side effect of positive news coverage, the article lacked a link (or even a mention) to the guys at AirsoftIreland who were actually there. More stories and photos from the event can be found on the Airsoft Ireland Forums; there’s also some nice photos in the Nitcu Airsoft Gallery under “Stirling Media event”. At least now when someone asks me about the article I can point folks in the right direction (cheers for the info Ryan).
