CQB Scotland 2 Lanark

by Arnie

Jamie has sent in word of the opening game of a new venue near Lanark called CQB Scotland 2 Lanark. The site looks pretty impressive too! The details for the event follow, and they now have their own section in the forums here.

Welcome To CQB Scotland 2 Lanark:

CQB Scotland 2 Lanark,

CQB Scotland

Based in the heart of rural Lanarkshire is Winston Barracks, once home to the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) and boasting over 60 buildings some of which are massive and connected via extensive road systems. This is the newest addition to CQB Scotland.

After being met at the Guardhouse you’ll proceed to the muster area for briefing and then it’s on to the fun. Anyone familiar with CQB Scotland will know that ex and current members of the armed forces will be there to give advice on tactics or even zero your susat for you using the dedicated rifle range. The fighting will be fast and furious as an agenda will be set for the days gaming, but as ever your input can alter the day immensely. The site is huge and incredibly varied.

Getting there couldn’t be simpler as it is accessed easily from both the M8 and the M7.

Game dates & Pricing for CQB Scotland 2

First game:

Sunday 10 September, 9:00 for 9:30 start. Gun hire will be on a first come first served basis so please post quickly what you will need on the day in the CQB forum. Lunch will not be provided so please remember and bring your own. The game will be based around the village for most of the day with assaults on the Generals quarters (3 large buildings looking onto a few acres of field and woodland) playing time willing. Remember that this is the first game so let your imaginations run riot and tell us about it on the day or in the forum.

Weekender Saturday 30 September & Sunday 1st October.
Again, most of the above applies but with more variety of emplacements and games employed. There is masses of room to pitch a tent and assuming your not scared of a few spiders, a good many of the buildings are quite habitable, hell, you may even get a visit from Assault Team Delta at 2 in the morning if you’re unlucky ;-) We will need to know numbers well in advance guys so please post in the forum.

As for pricing, we’ll keep it as competitive as usual so walk on is 20 for the single day and gun hire 15, which looking at other sites around the UK is cracking value for being able to fight in a midsized town!

The site really has to be seen to be believed and I hope you will all join me at the opening. Jamie, (CQB Scotland 2 Lanark)
