Simon has sent over a nice long, lengthy review of the ICS M4A1 for publication, go on have a read:
So, why buy one then? Well, it occurred to me that all of my airsoft guns were, to a greater or lesser extent, niche guns. The closest thing I have to an “all-rounder” is my CA MP5 and that’s, well, it’s “only” a sub-machine gun. I thought it was about time I got myself a proper assault rifle. The M4 is a fairly recent evolution of the Armalite M16, originally designed by Eugene Stoner and in service with the US army (and many others as well) in one form or another since 1965.
Since I like my guns to be realistic, metal wherever possible, I didn’t even considered any of the Tokyo Marui Armalites. That left Classic Army and ICS. I suppose there’s also the Systema PTW but seeing as how it costs more than my car it didn’t really get a look in.
